Internal complaint Committee

The objective of the Internal Complaints Committee is to take consistent action for prevention, prohibition and redressal of complaints received regarding sexual harassment and gender discrimination of women personnel at the workplace. The term of the committee is of 3 years. The Committee organizes meetings at regular intervals and at times as per immediate requirement of the complaint.

Internal Complaints Committees are working in the Headquarters of the institute at Matunga and Ginning Training Center, Nagpur.

 Powers and Duties of Internal Complint Committee:

Internal Complaints Committee takes action in the purview of the guidelines received from time to time from New Delhi and performs preliminary inquiry reporting to The Competent Authority on complaints received regarding sexual harassment and gender discrimination of women personnel at the Institute.  
Internal Women's Complaint Committee takes efforts to maintain gender parity, sexual harassment-free and positive environment at the workplace. It conducts awareness drive through display of women welfare & anti-sexual harassment policies and other appropriate documents, workshops, posters, speeches by experts etc. to have an encouraging and dignified surrounding to work in for women personnel

Vigilance

Chief Vigilance Officer and Vigilance Officers

The probity and transparency is to be maintained by public servants at all times and is a pre-requisite for effective good governance. Vigilance Officers function at ICAR Institutes as representative of Chief Vigilance Officer of ICAR. He/She maintains a close watch on the functioning and performance of the Institute at various levels. The Vigilance Office also play an important role to guide or assist Head of the Institute in administrative, financial and vigilance matters for overall improvement of the Institute.

Main Functions of Vigilance Officers
  • Vigilance Officers function at ICAR Institutes as representative of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of ICAR. They furnish periodic reports on various issues related to the Institute having vigilance angle.
  • Maintains a close watch on the functioning and performance of the Institute at various levels especially from vigilance point of view.
  • Periodically review and modify the working procedures so as to minimize the scope of mal-practices and harassment to the public.
  • Assist and guide Head of the Institute in all administrative, financial and vigilance matters for overall improvement of the organization.
