ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai observed he Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 from 28th October to 2nd November, 2019. The “Integrity Pledge” was administered to all staff members on 28th October 2019. On 2nd November 2019, a seminar was organized wherein Shri. Dnyaneshwar Raibhan Wagh, Police Inspector, O/o. The Additional Commissioner of Police, Protection & Security, Mumbai delivered a talk on “Integrity – A Way of Life” to all the staff members of the Institute. Dr. P. G. Patil, Director on his inaugural address, mentioned that corruption not only includes the dishonest / fraudulent action of an official, but also the refusal / failure to perform official work in a satisfactory way. Shri. Dnyaneshwar Wagh in his talk, cited examples from his own experience and also from mythological stories to stress the importance of Integrity in one’s personal and official life. Also, he suggested that everyone needs to lead a life like a professional, where the self-monitoring eliminates the need for an external monitoring mechanism. Dr. A. J. Shaikh, Former Director of the Institute graced this occasion. Dr. N. Vigneshwaran, Vigilance Officer delivered the vote of thanks.
