Mahila Kisan Diwas was celebrated in the Institute on 15.10.2018 On this occasion an essay competition was held in the forenoon in Hindi & English on the topic “Contribution of Women in Agriculture.” Several employees participated in the competition, In the afternoon, a lecture was delivered by Dr. (Smt.) Swarnajith Kaur Cheema, Head of Department, Botany, Khalsa College, Mumbai in the Jubilee Hall of the Institute. She spoke about female farm workers participation of women in agriculture and their significant role since time immemorial and also how their contribution can be increased. Later prizes were distributed to the winners of the essay competition.
